OBITUARY: Bo Robinson

Former Mississippi Public Service Commissioner Bo Robinson has died at age 90. He passed away at home Tuesday.
Robinson, of Lackey, was nearing a decade in the Mississippi Legislature as a state representative when Governor Ray Mabus appointed him in 1989 to represent North Mississippi on the commission that regulates utilities.
The Democrat replaced D.W. Snyder, who had resigned following a federal conviction for bribery, conspiracy, extortion and filing false tax returns.
Robinson later won election to the PSC in 1991 and served until 2008 after deciding not to seek a fifth four-year term on the commission.
He also served as Monroe County sheriff from 1968 to 1972.
Tisdale-Lann Memorial announced the funeral will take place 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton Friendship Church.
