The Louisiana Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters and Media Editors existed with AP member newspapers and radio/television stations in both states, and its main purpose was to administer the annual broadcast journalism competition. Awards were usually presented every April to professionals as well as college students. The LAMSAPBME did not hold awards in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic and dissolved afterward with the AP getting out of holding regional awards programs.
