Byron Allen puts WTVA, other TV stations up for sale

A sale would give the television station serving Northeast Mississippi its third owner since the Spain family sold it in 2014. Frank Spain put the station on the air in 1957 from the same building where it operates today.

With Mississippi State eliminated (and announcing a new coach afterward), that leaves the Rebels and the Golden Eagles needing wins today to advance to the Super Regionals. A loss ends the season.

At this point, the Bulldogs, Rebels and Golden Eagles must win the rest of the way to advance to the Super Regionals. That’s not only two today but one tomorrow. Only one game today for Mississippi teams gets regular television treatment while the rest of the games will be streamed.
