With Mississippi State eliminated (and announcing a new coach afterward), that leaves the Rebels and the Golden Eagles needing wins today to advance to the Super Regionals. A loss ends the season.

At this point, the Bulldogs, Rebels and Golden Eagles must win the rest of the way to advance to the Super Regionals. That’s not only two today but one tomorrow. Only one game today for Mississippi teams gets regular television treatment while the rest of the games will be streamed.

The Rebels and Golden Eagles need wins to stay alive after losing Friday. The Bulldogs seek to continue their winning ways after a late start due to rain Friday. No rain is in the forecast for all three regional sites Saturday.
7:15 p.m. update: Mississippi State is now scheduled to start play at 8:05 p.m.
6:23 p.m. update: Southern Miss won’t start until 7:06 p.m. Mississippi State won’t start until at least 8:30 p.m. since the first game in the Tallahassee Regional is still ongoing after a couple of weather delays.
4:05 p.m. update: Game one of the Tallahassee Regional is in a rain delay, which could push back State’s game past 6:30 p.m.
